Breckenridge 2026 | Souled Out Destinations
For generations, Black skiers and snowboarders have existed at the margins of winter sports, often underrepresented, overlooked, or erased from the narrative altogether. Breckenridge 2026 was our fourth year returning to the mountains with a simple but powerful intention: to take up space, together.
As the photographer for Souled Out Destinations, I had the privilege of documenting a community of Black professionals from across the United States and around the world coming together to ski, snowboard, explore, and connect. From first-time skiers finding their footing to seasoned riders carving confidently down the slopes, the weekend was a celebration of presence, joy, and shared experience.
Beyond the mountain, the experience unfolded through thoughtfully curated moments: an electric après ski day party filled with music, laughter, and style; a wine and slow jams night that invited ease and intimacy; fashion moments, movie nights, brunches, guest speakers, snowmobiling, and dog sledding. Each event was designed to foster connection, conversation, and community.
At Souled Out Destinations, our mission is to break barriers in spaces where Black people are not typically seen, and to do so with intention, excellence, and respect. We show up as Black professionals who honor the spaces we enter while redefining what belonging looks like within them.
This collection captures more than events. It reflects a growing legacy, a fourth-year tradition rooted in culture, confidence, and community. Each gallery below represents a different chapter of the weekend and invites you into the moments that made Breckenridge 2026 unforgettable.
